Balanced atop a sun-warmed river rock banister, he’s frozen — still as stone, yet buzzing with energy. In Caught Curious, the moment is mutual. The gaze goes both ways: one small creature locking eyes with a lens four times larger than himself, and I just as equally surprised by the encounter.

There’s something quietly humorous here, but also tender—a portrait of presence, attention, and wild innocence. The chipmunk’s stance is alert, unsure, yet unafraid. A moment that lasted only seconds, but held all the weight of being seen.
